My Bloody Mary

Development of my take on a Bloody Mary took place over several years and resulted in far more duds than I'd like to admit. The final result has lived in my notes app for several years and now I share it with you. The BBQ sauce adds heft to classic bloody mary flavors and the Heatonist No. 5 brings big time umami to the table. Enjoy! 

Bloody Mary Recipe

1 Tbsp Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce
2 Tsp Heatonist No. 5 Hot sauce
1 Tsp Yellow mustard
1 Tsp Garlic powder
1/2 Tsp Chili powder
1/2 Tsp Worcestershire
1/2 Tsp Celery salt
1/2 Tsp Pepper
2 oz vodka
4 oz tomato juice

 

Step 1: Combine ingredients in a pint glass and fill the rest of the way with ice

Step 2: Shake/stir well

Step 3: Garnish with cheese, bacon, olives, pickles, celery, burger sliders, or whatever else you feel in your heart
